No. All seminars are introductory and beginner friendly.
Yes. We teach techniques step by step in a controlled environment with close instructor supervision. We stress discipline and adherence to the rules and principles created by Imi. There is no free sparring or sport competition type fighting.
Comfortable athletic clothing. We enter the tatami barefoot. Avoid wearing jewelry, watches and having long nails in order to prevent injuries.
Currently participation is restricted to adults only (ages 18+). Training may eventually expand to a children group.
